I have emetophobia.

Posted in Group:

Which is the fear of vomiting. Most people don't know what it is. And most people think it's ridiculous.
I've had it since I was young. But at that point I didn't know why I cried and freaked out whenever someone around me threw up.
I would get panic attacks in which I'd feel like throwing up and I would choke myself because of this.
I didn't know what any of this was.
Then in 8th grade..I found the name for it...I am in therapy and have been..but nothing to seems to help.

If there is anyone out there with this same phobias, I would llove to talk to you.

Hmm-I despise throwing up and get completely freaked out by it, but I can when nausea is bad enough. Have you considered another therapist?

It's actually not extremely uncommon. At least not as uncommon as albuminurophobia. I have an illness phobia too and it terrifies me to think about this but the best and only surefire way to conquer a phobia is flooding.
